When it can make sense to splurge

Spend on what you use every day; save on the rest.

4 min read

A budget doesn't mean buying the cheapest of everything. It means spending on what matters to you and saving on what doesn't.

A simple rule

  • Splurge on things you use daily and love, if cost per use stays low
  • Save on things that touch your skin briefly, like cleanser and body wash
  • Save on tools and basics
  • Wait 30 days before buying anything new and expensive
